Anne-Sophie Perret has 30 years of experience in finance, risk management and regulatory/compliance mainly acquired within the financial services industry. And started to work free lance in 2017. She focuses on providing support to firms that are embracing new technologies, such as the Blockchain, DLT, AI and Data Analytics.
Prior to this, she held roles in tier 1 banks and top consultancy & audit firms where she led large transformation programs covering risk management, new regulations, standards and corporate governance -e.g. Basel II, CRD 3 & 4 and SOX – compliance – MLRD, GDPR- governance frameworks and accounting standards.
She has experience with handling sensitive stakeholders -e.g. monitors, regulators- in the GCC region, the UK and the US. Earlier in her career she was an external auditor carrying out due diligences for M&As and appointed to investigate on suspicions of criminal activities such as fraud, embezzlement and corruption. Her main base locations have been Paris, London, Singapore and Dubai, with assignments across the globe.
Anne-Sophie is a certified accountant, holds an MBA from NEOMA Business School and certifications in risk and compliance - CISI, ACAMS and GARP. She promotes innovation and new technologies and completed the Blockchain Strategy Program provided by the Said University, Oxford. She also participated into the Global Digital Finance AML working group to assist with the evolution of the 40 FATF recommendations to cover cryptocurrencies and Virtual Assets Service Providers and recently joined the new working group - inter-VASPs messaging standards - as ab advisor which aims to design a solution to address the travel rule requirements.
Anne-Sophie is a member of the Shared C-Suite and GLG networks. She is also regularly invited as a speaker at conferences and private events.
